How It Works
Flickering light is largely dependent on the frequencies at which the light flickers or the intensity of the light source. With colored light programming, the wavelengths of the color(s) selected and the proximity of the light to the body are important factors.
With flickering light, it is believed that the effects are based on the light interfacing with your body through the visual system. In this case, energy from the light is converted into electrical signals within the body to produce a response. In the latter case, where colored light is used, it is believed that the effects are based upon the various colors being absorbed directly into the cells in the area of the body being exposed to the light.
